How do I log a drink?

Use Drink water on Today for a quick water entry. Select another drink and amount when needed. Check History to review or edit entries; available options depend on your version and Plus entitlement.

Can I change my goal or companion?

Yes. Change your personal goal and measurement units in Settings. Current versions include five free companions: Fable, Jelly, Tide, Ember and Orbit. Zappy, Merlin and Cosmo are separate purchases and are not included with Plus. Switching companions keeps your diary. In iOS 1.4.0, Settings → My companion’s space offers backgrounds, pedestals, plants and objects unlocked by distinct logged days, never excess water. A missed day does not reset your collection.

How do Apple Health and Apple Watch work?

In iOS 1.4.0 (initially TestFlight), open Settings → Health & Watch to connect Apple Health voluntarily. Only Water records sync; other beverages are not converted into water. Initial import covers the last 30 days, and new Water entries after connection can be written to Health. Keep the iPhone app open to check changes. Imported records are read-only here: edit them in Health or their source app. Manage read/write permissions in Apple Health; Apple does not tell the app whether read access was denied.

Install Hydration Pet through the Watch app on your paired iPhone, then open Hydration Pet on both devices. Finish iPhone setup first. The Watch supports quick/custom water amounts and Undo. Offline entries remain on the Watch until acknowledged by iPhone; do not repeatedly re-enter the same drink while waiting. Open both apps and use Sync with iPhone if necessary. The iPhone alone writes to Health. Real-device connectivity and permission checks are part of this beta's testing.

Which languages are supported?

Settings offers English, Spanish, French, German, Simplified Chinese and Vietnamese. Custom names you enter are not automatically translated. If a label remains in the wrong language, email the screen name, chosen language and app version.

Why did a reminder arrive late?

Check the app's reminder schedule, notification permission and device Focus or battery settings. Notifications can be delayed or suppressed by the operating system. Reminders are not medical alarms and delivery at an exact time is not guaranteed.

What is lifetime Plus?

Plus is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It removes ads and adds custom drinks, 30-day charts, additional lagoon colors, adaptive reminder pacing and spreadsheet export. The US base price is $9.99; actual regional prices and availability appear in the store purchase sheet. Store approval is required before public purchases become available. Do not make a payment outside the official store.

How do I restore a purchase?

Use Restore Purchases on the Plus screen while signed into the store account used for the original purchase. Network access may be needed for store verification. Purchases are store-specific; an iOS purchase does not automatically grant an Android entitlement. For an Apple refund, use Apple's Report a Problem service.

Does the app show ads?

Starting with iOS 1.3.2, the free version may show occasional non-personalized Google ads at navigation breaks, at most once per hour. No ads appear on launch or immediately after recording a drink. Plus removes ads. You can manage available consent controls under Settings → Privacy & wellbeing → Advertising privacy choices. Ads remain off if consent cannot be updated. See our privacy policy. Never click an advertisement just to test it or support the developer.

How do I delete or recover my diary?

Settings → Delete all local data removes the diary and preferences on the device and disconnects Health. Deletion cannot be undone in the app. There is no TinyWorld cloud diary or recovery account; iOS 1.4.0 excludes its local diary and Watch outbox from automatic backups. Previously exported files, older backups and store ownership are separate. Records already written to Apple Health remain there until you remove them in Health. Old offline Watch entries are discarded once the Watch receives the reset diary identity.

Is this medical advice?

No. Hydration Pet records beverage volume, not your body's hydration level or medical fluid needs. Your goal is yours to change. Follow your clinician's advice if you have a fluid restriction or another medical need.
